Ekiti south west local government Football Association, and the coaches association in Ilawe, igbara-odo and Ogotun held a meeting over a Football competition, and some other issues.
It was confirmed by 9jabomnews correspondent that the meeting started around 2:00pm which the prominent FA chieftains in the local government were present, and they discussed about the development of the association and also talks more on the forthcoming competition in the local government which the commissioner for youth and sports in Ekiti, Mr Awopetu has planned to host to mark his two years in office.
It was gathered that, the honorable commissioner for Youth and sports who hailed from Ogotun Ekiti planning to host a football competition that will comprises the three towns in the local government.
Speaking with Former Ekiti FA Chairman, Mr Alade who gives kudos to the commissioner for his support so far, and thanked him for the competition he plans to host in the local government.
He added that Mr Awopetu has contributed physically and financially to the development of Football and Sports generally in the communities, Local government and Ekiti state at large.
The associations rejects the selection of the committee allegedly made by one technical officer in State FA which his name wasn’t unveiled who nominated the unknown man who is not from the local government to head the FA Committee.
They also speaks bitterly about some group of people that are parading themselves as the Exco managing the affairs of the round leather game in Ekiti south west local government as post mongers who doesn’t pray for the development of football, and also warned them to behave in accordance to the lay down rules and regulations.
Those that are present in the meeting are Mr Alade (Ex Ekiti FA Chairman), Mr Toyin Tamale Titi (Ogotun FA Chairman), Mr Oladele Ojoape Alaga (Ekiti south west coach chairman), Mr Agbaje Americana (Ogotun FA rep), Mr Ajayi Victor (Assistant treasurer of Ekiti state coaches and Secretary of Ekiti south west coaches association), Mr Adekunlr Olatunji Webb (member, Committee board), Mr Ejapokor Stone and others.
